About me

Hi, my name is Mahesh Patil. I'm originally from Mumbai (Bombay) India, and currently working with Atos in London as JAVA/JBoss platform expert for London 2012.

I started my career back in early 1997 with the smallest company. I worked on the MOM (Message Oriented Middleware) product which was entirely in Java. Back then, Java was like a new fish in the Sea of C, VB and VC++.

I wanted to make my career in VC++ as it was the most comprehensive computing language then. Because my first and subsequent job required Java knowledge, I continued exploring Java and related technologies, which gave me an edge over others as there were very few people around with real Java experience.

During my last 15 years of career, I have provided enterprise solutions of Service Oriented (SOA), CMS (Fatwire), B2B, EAI, Workflow based (Tibco IProcess), Distributed and Web based applications.

I had major contribution in providing enterprise solution to firms such as Ericsson, Betfair, BT, Defra, Inmarsat, British Waterways, Benfield Group, Automobile Association, Exel Logistics, Thomson Travel Group, Jarvis and Barclays.

Recently, I have been exploring the biggest buzzword of this decade, the 'Cloud Computing'. Its really fascinating to know its offerings to medium and small size organisations. Its still in its early stages but without doubt it will be the biggest thing in 4-5 years time. We are using "Google App Engine" to build and host our website.
